A Pomegranate farm in the Klein Karoo

The farm Celebratio, situated between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp in the Little Karoo, is owned by a third-generation Meyer who refused to take “no” for an answer when experts said the land was not suitable for the cultivation of any crops. Today Celebratio sucessfully grows and exports pomegranates.

Gerhard’s cherished childhood memories on the farm sparked him to create guest cottages on Celebratio and to restore the manor house to enable families to experience farm life and the unique starlit nights of the Little Karoo.

Dis oestyd op die granaatplaas Celebratio en ons maak op Saterdag 28 Maart die deure oop vir mense wat meer wil leer oor dié heilsame vrug.
‘n Toegangskaartjie van R300 sluit die volgende in: ‘n boordtoer, granaatpluk, pakstoortoer, proeë, ‘n kosdemonstrasie deur Marinda Engelbrecht (Marinda Kook) asook ‘n cocktail-demonstrasie. 
Marinda, bekend as aanbieder van die televisieprogramme “Laat die Potte Prut” en “Maklik met Marinda”, gaan die dag aan gaste wys hoe om granate en granaatprodukte te gebruik om heerlike geregte mee te maak.
